Vintage stunning hand carved gilt wooden Buddhist monk with traces of gilt and red lacquer, made in the 20th century, he his hands clasp in prayer. His eyes were enameled fixed in an intense yet spiritual upward enigmatic glaze, His robe has been inset with bits of colored glass ( green and red) and mirror, may he is from Thailand , can’t sure, definitely vintage or antique, 12.5” high, 11” wide, 9” deep, in good used condition, looks there is a crack line at back top of the head and was repaired, or maybe it came from original, can’t sure, some surface wear due to the age and use, please view the photos for details, sale as is, shipping with USPS ground advantage service.
