Goryeo Buddhist paintings and architecture are prominent Korean art forms that originated in the 13th and 14th centuries. Known for their intricate depiction of Buddhist icons typically in the form of large hanging scrolls, artists made use of vibrant colors and adorned the patterns with gold. This book is the catalogue from the largest exhibition of known Goryeo artwork, held in Korea in 2010. The book is in very nice condition -- clean and tight, no writing or tears. Full color artistic plates are in excellent condition. The text is primarily Korean, although there is an English introduction to each section. No dj, I believe as issued. Just a bit of edgewear to the red cloth boards. 2010, National Museum of Korea. 320 pages.
