Description

Very fine and rare gilded buddhist manuscript. Manuscript have beautifully decorated on both sides wooden covers. It is unusually lavishly adorned with pictures of angles, mythical creatures and animals. It consists of 16 pages in total plus two wooden covers. Mandaley period of Burma,circa 19th century <TT42FAT> Material: Gilded palm leaf with black lacquer lettering. Size:L.56cm ( 22inch ), W.14cm(5.5inch) Weight :2.3kg (5lb) Good condition , some abrasions and losses as you see in the photos due of the age couple of pages have small lacquer crack on the corners.
